Game reviews...

When considering buying a new game, where do you guys go for reviews? It seems to me that there has been a trend in the past 10 years or so that seems as if ALL the Gaming magazines and a lot of the Gaming websites that I used to rely on for reviews have totally sold out....meaning they print these ...

Re: It's been a long time....

Mess, you are right....my wife makes a great Storm... Yeah, Pad, D3 was SO dissappointing....I thought this guy (Herman Au) hit all the nails on the head with his Amazon review: http://www.amazon.com/Diablo-III-Pc/product-reviews/B00178630A/ref=sr_cr_hist_1?ie=UTF8&filterBy=addOneStar&showVi...

It's been a long time....

Hey everyone....it's been a long time since I've posted here....just wanted to say "Hi" (Thanks, Annie and Mess for helping me retrieve my account!). I still play quite a bit of LOTRO and I've also spent a lot of time over the past few years playing Fallout 3 (after playing through it, I g...

Tenzin's Christmas wish list

1. a new worn out slightly dirtied up sackcloth robe (so he can give his current robe to the poor)
2. a new worn out off color piece of rope for a belt (so he can donate his current belt to goodwill)
3. a carrot
4. peace on earth
5. friends

***Disclaimer*** in my previous post i was speaking as the real tenzin, the fellow you're roleplaying with. within the d&d universe the real tenzin is actually involved with a d&d game and he's roleplaying an imaginary guy named tenzin that's actually smart, nice, and heroic (the real tenzin...

pretty good zeph. roleplaying a peaceful char like tenzin in the d&d universe is going to be a challenge (though i hope fun). it's new to me and i'm still figuring it out. at this point i'll just say that peaceful though he may be, i intend for tenzin to be the ultimate team player and he's not ...

christmas time is near even in westwall, and i find myself a bit "light in the pocket" so to speak. while personally i feel quite rich (three and a half carrots and half a pouch of slimy but still delicious owlbear stew chunks is nothing to turn your nose up at). but i'm not thinking about...

Good stuff Mess. Could Flea or Talon post here the loot we collected? Maybe we can do loot splitting and then "in town" actions (i.e. buying stuff) by posting here and/or emails with Messiah before our next session...

poor weighted companion cube. you already had one. beatiful, edgy, yet with curves in all the right places. it faithfully gave you unrequited love. in return you thoughtlessly euthanized it. and broke its heart. by tossing it into a blast furnace. (at least you're still alive)

oh wow....the advanced maps are awesome. it took me a long time to do the first three. i'm old and decrepit so it took me many tries on each and i had to do things that i didn't need to do at all in the regular game. lots of fast moving dynamic stuff. where you have to retarget a portal when you're ...

what's the deal with the "advanced maps" i'm reading about? are there additional maps/puzzles after the first time you defeat GLaDOS? or are the "advanced maps" just the last several levels of the game?

a portal gun and cake.

i think one of the funniest things in the game was GLaDOS' personality. I liked the song at the end too.

the really insensitive thing is you didn't think to invite her to play. i'm sure she would have been thrilled.
