So here goes my personel response I love are guild and do not want to walk away from it..we are like a small family that helps each other out in are times of need I enjoy rolling with every member that i can and do not want to lose that feel or the experiences it brings...I do not want to merge into a guild that does not care about any one lower than lvl 55 and i dont want to lose are family feel..I believe we have enough friends and allies to help us when are guild has reached its higher lvl for the raid quests ... I would rather see us top out our characters and work twice as hard to get are guildmates up to there highest points to all be up there together ............So my vote is NO

One thing though we are all equals and if are guild decides to merge than I will go where ever our guild goes

I know i don't play with you guys on mannoroth but here's my views on the subject;

One thing thats really good about the SSX is that we're a pretty close group of gamers, we may not be the biggest, best or highest lvl guild on the servers we play on but does it really matter? Do we have to be? Eventually we too will become a high lvl guild in WoW US & Euro, may even become as big as some of the other guilds as well. Sure it might take us a while but we don't need to merge with another higher lvl guild in order to accomplish our goals. If we all work together we achieve anything we want to.
When we recruit, we take our time about it.. We all get to know each and every person that joins us which is one of the reasons why we're like a little family so to speak. We all know each other, we all play together well, and we're ALL SSX. Merging with another clan would be a bad idea imo, even more so if you wasn't even going under the name of SSX.

Theres only one type of merge that could be good, and thats if a guild merges INTO the SSX and they become part of the SSX. - Which is completely different to us merging into another clan, as we'd become part of them rather than them becoming part of us....

Those are my thoughts on merging anyway. :)

Well... Seeing how I haven't really touched the game for half a month (except to check mail, thanks to all for stuff you send ^^ ), I'd prefer NOT to merge with another guild unless I knew most of their members or their values. Like MS said, the family feel is important, and I do believe that we will grow over time (I'm usually reliable in the recruiting area... I just don't have the time to get to know ppl very well right now). If anyone feels the guild's too "small" for their tastes, then no hard feelings to them for wanting to seek a bigger audience.

Unfortunately, you will need to quality recruit at around the 50s-60s levels, simply because the high level instances are 5-40 man :P

WoW-SSX-EU is moving towards this goal *naturally* with friendship based non-elitist recruiting..

Love it... :)

I would prefer to stay the SSX....I like that we are a family. If someone neeeds help they get help the best to everyone ablity. I want to stay and when you need to do your raids call in me close friends. Once you hit 60 you can not go any high might as well help out eveyone else in the guild build our guild up. THank you for your time. My vote is i am staying SSX:}

I am whole heartedly against the idea.

As far as I am concerned if we joined the bigger guild than we would no longer be the SSX. I want no part of that. So if anyone wants to leave and join a bigger guild then so be it. I wish you well and support your decision. However... I will stay behind. Even if I am the only one left holding the SSX banner I will hold it up high in the air.

I can't see any good reason to go to another guild. If you want to go to another guild to become more powerful and stronger, then the SSX wasn't for you to begin with. We are all friends and we are all family, and I honestly believe we would lose all that going to a different guild. I don't say this cause I think it's true, I say this from experience. You guys are all my friends and family, literally in some cases, and I would jsut assume keep that here in our little circle.

To reiterate... My vote is HELL NO.

Although I rarely play on Mannoroth (so my opinion on the matter may not mean much) I would have to say no. I think merging with another guild kind of defeats the purpose of the SSX in the first place which is a small group of people with similar gaming ideals.

What I might suggest is to make a 'strategic alliance' with this other guild if you want to. This will allow you to group with the other guild for things like instances, Molten Core raids and PVP raids and give you numbers to complete high end instances, yet allow the SSX to retain its name and values and remain as the same cohesive unit. So I would suggest maybe aligning with this guild, but I would strongly recommend against merging.

From what I see, everyone in this thread has voted no.

Begs the question, who propositioned this?

Really doesn't matter who to be honest. We all discussed this in game at length and we are just making it official on the forums. :)

I would have to say there are pros and cons to this idea. For me I have made a list, the con's and questions that go along with this idea out way the pro's quite a bit. So my vote is no.

To the WoW UK group:

Apprently there is a misunderstanding here. We on the Mannoroth server are voting whether or not to merge into a larger guild. As far as things go with the SSX the questions that we are discussing is whether or not we can maintain our SSX identity within a larger group.

While I appreciate everyone's input, I think we pretty much got it handled as far as things go :) And I thank everyone for inputting their opinion on the matter. Since we are an equal group we need to put it to a vote so everyone in the guild on our server can have a voice :)

I vote no.... You can read the rest of my post at ur leasure.

Thx for posting this Jonis.

Occasionally in the past with highly competetive MMO's we have been semi forced into sub-guilding. For other MMO's it is actually the structure of the game that makes everyone's guild a sub of a nation. So I can understand the reasoning behind wanting to merge or simply the 'idea' of merging.
With that said there is NO reason why we should merge into another guild, we are not MASSIVE on purpose. There is only the horde vs alliance... not guild vs guild. WOW is not ladder based nor is it free-for-all PVP where you need numbers to take dungeons/land/realms....
We have taken our time recruiting and made friends first then guildm8's..... It keeps us close and as already stated 'family' like. This should not change.

I understand that we have different types of gamers with us and some just like to hardcore powerlvl.... semi isolating themselves from the more casual players.... and when they find themselves up towards the cap there aren't many guildmates to 'quest' with. Also with a smaller guild you don't have high lvl people on 24/7.....
We are slowly growing tho... and if you can't wait for people to catch up or absolutely HAVE to be in a massive guild where all you are is your lvl and not a person.... then I will understand why you must leave.... and you will be missed.

My question of that would be:
Do you HAVE to 'merge' with this guild to even get them to quest with you? If so, then I really wouldn't want to join with them anyways even if we had to join with someone (because of game dynamics)......

My advise would be to try and make more friends that are high lvl. Jonis can even suggest a few great high lvl people that like to help out (just like us) and maybe that will help satisfy your playstyle.... maybe not....

Good Journey

Look at the one word under the Shattered Star Exiles title.

Just keep that in mind as you go thru this :)

Play the game, enjoy the game, enjoy the people. If if stops being fun, stop doing it ;)

I just made a character in Mannorath today, but like Quiz said, friendship and fun gaming are what we are here for. If you don't know half the people you are merging with, don't merge. I vote no.

I vote no. Anyone who has played AC and joined the guild BLOOD will understand why. Nuff said.

Since this isnt a private forum, I can only assume it is a public discussion.. so..

In my experience, guilds with charecters on multiple servers only really play the 'secondary' server as a diversion from life on the 'primary'. Later on it may prove to be that you decide to play more actively on that server, and achieve a status equel or greater to that on the primary. But thats only really a goal worth chasing when life on the primary server stagnates or you seek a slightly different challenge!

I dont really know the situation, or how your own rules affect the players who seem to play Mannoroth as thier 'primary'. I was under the impression that most of you played Bladefist. If thats the case then maybe those who do play Mannoroth should consider recruiting a little more (if they're struggling), or joining the rest of the guild on Bladefist?

Just some idea's ;-)

(/edit)
Also, tbh, Soul Pact have about 8-10 active members, and we get on just fine. Balance your charecter creation and you can probably do all 5 man instances/quests just fine right up to 60!

Europe WoW = Bladefist
US WoW = Mannoroth

It's not really like that persay. We dont' really have an issue recruiting. And we are all pretty active in the game save myself. But the issue needed to be disscussed. So we brought it here to the forums.

Unless there is more to disscuss fromt eh folks on Manny, I think we are pretty much done at this point and we can close this topic and move on :)
