Or do TQ staff bash the servers to get 'em working again?

Server clean-ups. Clearing of caches. Implementations of patches, and fixes. Implementations/corrections for hacked accounts, and reviewing of hacked cases. House upgrade implementations. It's the only time when GMs can review game history and trace characters and/or items without disturbing the game.
This could be just a theory:
The resetting of randomized game features (Ie: Sockets, gems in mines...)
The game engine is very simple, and not very creative (Leave it to Chinese programmers...) Easy to figure things out.
Now, if only someone can program the randomizer for the Gambling station, and figure out what the seed number for the randomizer, we can get accurate predictions for the gambling...

I always believed that the core of what made SSC great in the past, is here in the present and future of the SSX.
