Rented this on Gamefly, absolutely love it.
I bought a 2003 Golf a couple weeks ago from a friend of mine because we needed a second car, and, I am pleased to say, this is the first game where I have owned a car in real life I could race in the game. Race and win with, so I am jazzed about that.
Only had it a couple days, but its pretty solid for sim racing, you can elect to play with or without the racing line, and the car selection seems to be pretty varied and interesting. Same tracks, and it looks like they brought in some features from PGR3 (I suspect they will fold the two franchies together, not alot of difference any more) like the race TV.
All in all fun, anyone else get it? I think I am going to click the buy now button on Gamefly and just keep it.

I heard the customization was way too much, like its good if your into cars, but I know nothing. I'm the sorta jump in and play online, but everybody had there car so customized that I wouldnt stand a chance. I've seen people play this hours and hours on end just customizing there car. Is it more Pro racing game or is it a Recreation type game like Need for Speed where you can just jump on?

Not sure how I missed Ambush's question.
Its very simmy. You don't have to be a gear head to play it though, I don;t get into the tuning, I suppose if I played it online alot I would need to at least understand the tuning, but I just upgrade the parts to the highest level and leave the tuning at default.

I'll send you the SSX Golf next time I am on. If you want to buy a VW GTI and send it to me that will speed it up, will apply the design and send it back.

Correction: I just figured out how to save vinyle groups so I can apply the logo to any car now

Yeah you should show off the car I did for ya. ;p My camera skills suck too much to show it off properly.
