Good grief that thing's a floating pain in the butt.

Tactics so far:
HeavyLarry: 2x backmount railguns. 2x rifle. Missiles. Result: Dead before damaging it.

KojimaLarry: Kojima all round. Result: Dead after hitting it once.

PALarry: Missiles, missiles, missiles and rifles. Result: Dead after hitting it twice.

SniperLarry: Sniper cannons all round. Result: Complaints from my support op about ranged attacks, dead once I closed range.

PALarryBlade: 2x moonlight. Flares. Result: Dead after taking at least 4 wings down. My most successful attempts so far.

Had to stop for some food and to let Manny play Indiana Jones for a bit... but what did you do to beat Answerer?

You know.. sadly the easiest way to kill that thing is with dual pile bunkers. No other weapons. Just those. You fly up to the wings and dual whack those then the wing breaks. then you fly on to the other wings then repeat the process. if I catch you on, I will show you how it works. I 'S' ranked both hard and normal missions doing it that way. In fact you would be surprised how many missions you can do with just blades and pile bunkers.

Um - pile bunker?

They are basically melee weapons like blades. They are saddled with the blades and such. The Moonlight Blades will work too. They just take an extra swing or two. Try lookin on the shop if you don't have em in your inventory.

Well I did it with PALarryBlade in the end. Turned out what I was doing wrong was evading the Assault Armour attack - it's got a smaller radius than I thought. Every time I evaded I had to dodge fire back in.

Soon as I worked out that half the wing's safe from the AA, it fell pretty sharpish.

Hard mode - well, that was a mean little trick they played, wasn't it? Especially as PALarryBlade is designed for maximum PA at the expense of everything else bar mobility. Still, got the S. PALarryBlade's got less than 30k AP so he doesn't cost much to repair

Yeah when I get a chance, I will show ya a few tricks on a few missions so you can get some more a ranks and a few more frs points.
