Apparently this may not be "ultra" from the final release as people report there being no clear visua difference between high and ultra in the beta, though I haven't tested myself. Ultra must look crazy sick if that is the case oO lol
When people here group up together feel free to take some screens and post them here btw. They can be added to our revamped screenshot gallery :thumb:

Spambot!!! Kill it.

I might get BF3, but definitely MW3. Tough decisions.

Bot dealt with :)

And easy decision for me deciding on BF3 or MW3.
Whilst I have loved CoD multiplayers in the past and I don't dislike them and certainly not a CoD hater I do believe DICE have the better product with BF3 even with the implementation of origin & such which I'm not fond of.
For me there's nothing quite like having a big open 64 player map with tanks, jeeps, heli's and jets flying above that the CoD experience just can't match. They can't offer that and their maps are small scale in comparison and much more linear. Battlefield's (Caspian Border map more than metro) really do feel like a warzone. How can I resist after the awesome trailer?. ;D hehe.

I also hate Activision's pricing scheme and it's something I try not to support. I've pre-ordered BF3 for just under 30 quid and it comes with the extra map pack/weapons and battlelog (whatever peoples thoughts on it being browser based) offers the same as MW3's enite statistics system except completely free. MW3 comes with none of that, they're charging a subscription fee for elite and you can't get the game cheaper than £35. I'm all for supporting game developers but there's no reason why Activision published titles should cost more than other PC releases other than the fact they know they can get away with it with a huge franchise like CoD and people will still inevitably pay whatever price tag they put on it.

I'll most likely buy MW3 in the future when it's cheaper but mainly just to see if the SP is any good. BF3 is where multi's at for me so that's the only title I'll be getting on release. That being said If I've burned myself out on BF3 multi by then I'll probably start playing MW3's as I don't dislike their multiplayer as I say, I just think battlefields offers more :)

Screenshots look awesome :)

I didn't play much of MW online. But I have really enjoyed the single player campaign. So I do look forward to MW3

For multiplayer, I prefer Battlefield. Love the size of the maps. Bad Company story was great.
I really look forward to Battlefield 3. Can't wait!

Dammit, you've convinced me to get BF3. Curse you! LOL I too enjoy the single campaign aspect of MW series more but looks like BF3's multi wins it for me. Where do I sign up?

Here are some more screenshots of a round or two I took tonight, the last day of beta. All settings were set to low here, but it still looks pretty amazing. Playing Caspian Border definitely erased most of the reservations I had after playing the Operation Metro map. I just hope that some of the Conquest maps are even bigger. Can't wait to play with you all again in two weeks!

Out-of-map shot of the Russian spawn and most of the flags.

Tank shot takes off a chopper's tail.

Ambush from the rocks. Couldn't get them all in time.

Squad-mate and I attack a squad of enemy defenders. We took them all out.

Q: What do you get when you mix 3 tanks, a plane, and an enemy fortification?

Image
A: Rubble.

That was a great vid! I'm really excited for that map. It reminds me a bit of both Dalian Plant and Kubra Dam from BF2. At the same time, I noticed there was still a lot of interesting space on the map that was not utilized in the flag layout. This is what I meant when I said I hope the other Conquest maps are "bigger."

For example, on the map in the video, when he is up in the chopper, you can see a number of silos or containers that are a decent jog from the nearest flag. This would be a great place for both sniping and close-quarters action, but will probably not be utilized much in Conquest. Indeed, there wasn't a single friendly player in the area during that I could see as he flew over. Caspian Border has a lot of unutilized space to both sides of flags D and E that would be great for vehicular combat, including a good chunk of the paved road, as well as the "no man's land" area. I even found a little hut back there yesterday. I can only assume that DICE meant for these areas to be used in Rush or Team Deathmatch. Not sure why they chose not to plant the flags a bit further apart, though.

Seine Crossing looks like it will be a lot of fun. Tehran will probably end up being BF3's Karkand. Or at least until the Karkand expansion is released. ;)

Kharg Island sounds like it is probably the largest map. Should be interesting to see how it plays. Damavand looks like they made a Tribes map for Battlefield. That should definitely be fun to play in Rush.

I liked the part where the rubble was falling like snow. Seems we only got a small taste of destruction in the beta.
