Well, my initial impression is that Origin and Battlelog are still pieces of shit. I spent 45mins trying to get everything to work properly with those two applications before I was able to finally get into a game. You still have to be in-game and on the map to make any changes to your settings/keybindings so be prepared to spend the first 5 minutes of your game making the necessary changes to ensure that you're playing with the right graphical settings and your controls are as you like it. Oh, and the Battlelog voice chat is utterly worthless. Avoid using it at all costs. Go with a third party voice comm app if you plan to use headphones/mic.

Once that's done, you can then dive into the game. And the game is very nice. The one issue I did notice is the occasional crash that would occur for no reason. I played 5 rounds and crashed twice. Not bad for about an hour and a half worth of play. I was able to enjoy three maps before I had to log for the night. Tehran Highway, Seine Crossing, and a bit of Operation Firestorm.

I'll try to get some screenies posted up tomorrow if possible, Thursday at the latest.

A pair of free dogtags here for anyone interested: http://www.alienwarearena.com/giveaway/ ... -giveaway/ :thumb:

A shame to hear about the crashing. I can put up with the odd crash if they're just occasional like you say but hopefully they'll have that fixed shortly. As long as it isn't as bad as Fallout New Vegas was at release but it doesn't sound like it thankfully. Now that was some unstable shit even if the game was awesome heh.
Will look forward to seeing your screenies!. We'll have to take some more group ones when we have some games together :D

Still waiting on a dispatch mail here. Besides my Dead Island order last month which arrived late - which they refunded me £5 for failing to get it to me for launch without me even having contact with them, all of my previous orders from GAME have always arrived for release day or the day before so fingers crossed they don't screw this one up too otherwise it'll be sat or next week.

What I would suggest for changing your settings is to start up the campaign and edit the options in it then quit and go online. When I did it my changes carried across and I didn't have to risk dying/being kicked while I got everything how i wanted.

The SSX platoon is up on Battlelog, once the rest of you all activate your games.

Thanks for the tip Gyouza. :thumb:

Mine & Ava's copies arrived this morning!. Got mine installed, patched and DICE/EA have been nice and opened the release date checker for us EU players so I've been able to play already without resorting to proxy tricks :D

:thumb: Now just to make sure you're in my Battlelog friends list. Could you post up yours and Ava's handles for Battlelog?

What class do you think you guys will play the most? I'm focusing 100% on Assault right now. In BF2 I played Medic almost exclusively, so in BF3 I aim to play primarily as a long-range medic. In beta my default loadout looked like this:

M416 with: 6x sniper scope, heavy barrel, bipod
Sidearm
Medkit
Defibrillator
COVER trait

Set up a forum upon request, as there's a lot of you playing.

Go wild. Do some recruiting ;)

Posting this here since it doesn't really need a thread of its own.

Who wants a free set of dog tags?

Go here and when the trailer has finished simply log in with your EA/Origin account and select PC.
(May need to relaunch the game for them to appear in your unlocks) :)

Looks like it will be a good action movie, as long as they don't try to make it too "meaningful" and just turn it sappy. I prefer to use unlocked dogtags to show off how leet I am, but thanks for the heads up!
