As the title mentions I've received my Alpha 2.0 playtest invite.
Anyone else testing yet?

If so we should try and meet up.

I got it too, but I'll be playing it when it hits regular servers.

It's still crashing far too much, though they seem to be able to play it longer and longer with each successive patch. Think the latest allows for over an hour of gameplay before a crash occurs.

There's also the fact it's being patched on more or less a daily basis, with each patch being in the 20gb range.

Even though my conn is fast, I'm good till the thing's stable.

I got an invite as well. Installed it just to get a look and some stuff. Couldn't even get it to load. I'll be waiting till it hits the regular servers to look again.

Got my invite on the 21st but yeah, I'm gonna wait until it's gone through a little more testing and hits the live servers before I give it a look too. Count me in once it does though, definitely :thumb:

Unsurprisingly, people are reporting huge performance drops compared to the AC module. Still, it's very exciting to see things finally coming together to this point.

Actually, it's performing way better than AC, it's just riddled with bugs so it keeps crashing. They're working on it though.

FPS is smoother than it's ever been, since they've actively been fixing the server CPU bottleneck. Turns out your hardware can run the game just fine, the reason it ran like dogshit (for me anyway, locked to 15fps after awhile) is because of the CPU taxing one core via server requests. They've still got work to do, but this is the result so far (until he crashes).
This is what it's like on a fresh server (a few patches ago without all the bottleneck improvements)
Note all of this is running WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY smoother than the Citizen Con demos, and not even running on Titan X's and shit, the first vid up there is on a 970, which is my GPU. And SLI is still not even implemented to work (being worked on tho).
