Well, gotta say... meh.
As excited as I was, as great as the graphics are, as astounding as the sound effects are, its just not doing it for me.
I think the killer is the lack of customized leveling. In BF4 I can grab my engineer with his special perks, modify them, then switch out my stock and scope, and vehicle perks if I like.
In Battleground atm, all I can do is pick what I'd like my trooper to look like and save enough for a generic new gun. Sure, there's the 'card deck' I can modify but that isn't that interesting imho.
I ran it for about 10 hours total. Its taking a backseat to; BF4, that Bingo Bango Bongo game, and Wasteland 2 (which I bought on a whim and ends up its pretty incredible modern version of the top down turn driven RPG).
With gaming occupying only 10% of my free time that means Battlefront's not going to see much use (I know I used that apostrophe wrong and I don't care).
Of the other 90% of my time, currently 20% is spent clearing leaves from our property, 20% with my fishtank and the other 50% I'll cover in a new post.
