The makers of guildwars stated from the start that they would be holding cash prizes for GW championships eventually and now they have started. Details can be found HERE.

Winning 1st place is $50,000, niiiiiiiice.

I wish they had listed, before the game even came out, that the prizes would actually be this big..... 100k total.

I think if more people had known that there team could earn $50k for simply playing a fun PvP game......

There would a ton more participation ;D

And NOW! NOW YOURE TELLING ME THIS? *_*

Just before I quitted I had a bigass guild where I was an officer o_O
Then one of us officers decided that he cant play gvg or thombs with some of the guild members (most of them) and formed a guild that he and his fellow officer friend would manage, select the best of members of the former guild and continue with only PvP.
I was one of the selected (ofc -_-) As soon as we got enough players for guild matches we started GvG all over again and in the beginning we won guilds over rank 60 and stuff....

Then i bought wow and got kicked out of inactivity! >_> *blank*

Few months later log in and (as suspected) noticed i was kicked from the pvp guild. Wondered around a few days and noticed both of the guilds had vanished and I couldnt find anyone anymore. :(

*blank* ever since :blank:

A price? lol no wonder people play that game so seriously o_O

For those curious or simply wanting to learn more about PvP, the quarter-finals are starting to wrap up and a few of the semi-finals have started.

All are viewable via Observer mode in GW's.
Simply press B while in the game and choose.

Enjoy :thumb:

Looks like Te (who smashed SNA to make it to finals) will be squaring off against iQ (who just beat EP in a humiliating smackdown) for the US regional final. Thats going to be one heck of a awesome fight :thumb:

I really like Idiot Savants (iQ) build against EP. It was a very balanced build:
3 W/E
1 R/Me
1 Me/N
1 N/MO
2 Mo/Me

Can't wait to see how they hold up against Te in the regional finals.
After both the US and Europe wrap up these finals it will be on for the final world championship showdown between the 3 countries
