Please ensure you read through all of our notes before submitting an application.
New initiates are limited to 10 at a time, with priority given to RL friends and family and then to those who have taken the time to get to know us. This being said, it may take some time before an invite for trial membership can be sent depending on the current volume of new applicants. Please be patient, unless your post is noted closed, we have not forgotten you. Make some runs with our players and get to know them better, but do not start pestering them about your application as that is more likely to get your application rejected.
The first thing to realize in applying to SSX-Mannoroth is that we truthfully don't care what gear you have, what your skills are, or that you've completed every single end-game raid already. Gear can be obtained, skills can be learned, and experience will come with time.
All in all, we don't want to hear about your character in your post, we want to hear about you, the person behind that stage name. Through reading other forums, this seems to be a difficult concept to a lot of people, so I'm going to try to simplify this. Add to it anything you like about yourself, and you're not limited to this format, but these are some things we'd like to know about you.
What's your character's name? (needed to contact you in game)
What got you started playing WoW?
How did you hear about SSX and what makes you believe this guild is right for you?
Who do you know that is already in the guild and how did you meet them?
What other guilds were you in previously and why did you leave them? (Lies in this section usually come out and will most likely result in non acceptance, so be truthful... )
Have you applied to any other guilds recently? If so, which ones and have you already received a response to your application?
What are the most important qualities of a good guild to you?
While the following items are not required to be an SSX member, they will be required to go on raids:
CT Raid Assist UI
Guild Event Manager UI
Ability to pay attention and take directions from leaders during the
Willingness to learn combat tactics that may not be condusive to your
preferred play style.
Willingness to help in farming and preparation for the raid.
If you decide to start running these raids do you understand the above requirements that would be placed on you and agree that you will adhere to them? (This is a hypothetical question, you can decide whether they're something you enjoy or not at any point and even change your mind to not join in on these, the question is for when/if you do decide to join in on them.)
The process after your application:
1. An officer will contact you in-game or request on here for you to contact them if they have had problems finding you online. They will request to speak with you more in depth about your application and reasons for wishing to join SSX.
2. If accepted as an applicant you will be placed in the guild in initiate status for 1 month to get the chance to know everyone and ensure you get along well with the guild. Utilize this time to get to know as many people as possible.
3. A vote will be held during our Saturday guild meetings in which all qualified initiates will be voted on by all members. More than 50% of the group has to vote in favor of membership with no negative votes for membership to be obtained. Lack of enough votes will hold off your vote for another week, while negative votes will result in either mediation or removal depending on the reasoning for the negative votes.
Removal of Inactive Initiates:
While very lenient once membership is obtained on inactivity, we do believe you should at least make an attempt to get to know the guild you're trying to join. If something comes up, please let an officer know what the situation is so that we can make a determination at that time of how best to handle it. Otherwise, Initiates not active during their 1 month trial will be placed in a separate title "Inactive Initiate". Once placed there you will have to start from the beginning on your initiate period if you become active again within the following 2 months. If you do not become active again after 2 months, you will be removed from the guild roster.
If removed due to inactivity during your initiate status, please note this does not stop you from reapplying when/if you return to the game. This rule is due to limitations of how many initiates we allow into the guild at a time to thus make room for other players who wish to join SSX.
